A poem for International Women's Day

I am tired, I am wired, I am feeling worn thin

I am broken, I am hoping that I’ll see this through to the end

I am blessed, I am burdened, I am trying to fly

I am soaring, I am roaring

I am sinking, I am reaching for a helping hand

I am more, I am less, I am more, then less again

I am stretched, I am growing, I am shedding outgrown skins

I am a woman

I am theirs, I am mine

I am don’t own my own time

It is theirs, then mine

It is raw, it is resilient, It is my heart

It is dreams, it is sacrifice, it is holding it all

I am a woman

I am a mother, I am a writer, I am a wife, I am a friend, I am a dreamer, I am a maker

I am a woman
